For the first time in 8 years a band member represented Central at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Competition! Congratulations to Senior, John Oliphant, for not only advancing to State, but walking away with a big win! He received a “1”. For people outside of the band community, that’s the BEST! What a way for our very own “Mr. CHS” to wrap up his high school career on a high note! 🥁

In case you missed Miss Haley’s message on Parent Square….
I do this every year, and there’s really nothing to it. You just hang out where the Beginner Band and JH bands sit. Your presence (and occasional stern look😉) reminds them to be quiet and respectful during the other performances. Keep in mind, you volunteer to help out when your child ISN’T performing. We don’t want you to miss that! 💚 Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Band Booster meeting tomorrow at 6:00 in the Band Hall! 💚

Hey Band Parents and Loved Ones! We will meet Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00pm in the Band Hall. This will be a brief time to share fundraising info, look ahead to next year, and to vote on our 2026-2027 officers. As I mentioned in a previous post, we already have a few moms who have offered to serve in that capacity. I’ve been doing it solo for over a year, so I PROMISE it’s a low-commitment way to be involved. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!

Late night. Dinner at 10. Got home at midnight. But worth the drive to see our Bulldog Band support the Lady Dogs’ playoff game. Game didn’t end the way we hoped, but Central definitely brought the school spirit tonight!💚

10:00 update - we just stopped at Whataburger in Crockett to feed some hungry kids. Our Lady Dogs hoped for a better outcome tonight, but they played hard against a tough team. We are proud of them! On a high note, our Bulldog Band played loud and proud! They represented our school so well. Central definitely brought the school spirit with our band, cheer team, and fans!
