🐾Introducing our Elite Wampus Cats! 🐾

This year, we added a new reward to recognize the top 10% of our 1st–5th grade students! For the first nine weeks, these students earned:

⭐ A 4.0 GPA
⭐ An A in conduct every week
⭐ No more than 2 absences

We are so proud of their hard work, excellent behavior, and commitment to being at school! Congratulations to our first group of Elite Wampus Cats! 💚💙

Mrs. Cogdill’s students used a vertical number line to measure liquid volume and learned that 1 liter equals 1,000 milliliters. They also connected this to place value—just as 1 thousand is made up of 1,000 ones, 1 liter is made up of 1,000 milliliters! 💚💙

💚💙 Congratulations to Po***ck Elementary’s 5th Grade Student of the Year, Haddy Foster!

Haddy is one of our morning announcers and helps us start each day with a smile! She is extremely intelligent, kind to everyone she meets, and has a heart full of love for her school.

We are so proud of you, Haddy! Thank you for being a wonderful leader and representing our Wampus Cats so well! 🐾

Building numbers one step at a time! 💚

Mrs. Thompson’s kindergarten students are creating number stairs with math manipulatives! This hands-on activity helps students practice counting and see how each number grows by one.

We love seeing our Wampus Cats learning by doing! 💙

🌟 3rd Grade Star Students of the Week for September! 🌟

We are so excited to celebrate our 3rd Grade Star Students of the Week — Hudson Hataway, Remi Greene, Maverick Smith, and Amelia Deloach! ⭐️

Each week, our 3rd grade teachers choose a Star Student who demonstrates the qualities we value at Po***ck Elementary and lives out the principles of Leader in Me. These students are recognized for the way they lead by example, show kindness, take responsibility, help others, make good choices, and contribute positively to our classroom and school community. 🌟

Congratulations, Hudson, Remi, Maverick, and Amelia! We are so proud of the leaders you are becoming and the positive examples you set for those around you! 💫
