Friends, this is devastating news that I’m just finding out about. The Dana School of Music (Youngstown State University) is my Alma Mater, it’s where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. It was the best experience in my life. So many friends were made and the connections I have made with so many professors is something I have cherished since I was a student there. If you could please take a couple minutes and sign this petition, it would mean the world to me. Not only would it affect so many students and faculty at Dana, but so many of us private teachers rely on that facility for our competitions that our private students work towards every year. It would be a blow to the music community in this area for years to come. I appreciate your support. 😔💔

Tonight, I am one proud music teacher. As the end of my first year of teaching approaches, I honestly can say I never thought I’d be on this career path when I turned 40. I had (and have) no idea what I’m doing at times…even though I teach music every day in a different capacity (my private piano students). This concert just happened a couple hours ago and I am beyond proud of these kids and what they’ve accomplished. Seeing them only once a week for 40 minutes and for them to come together and nail these songs in about 8 weeks is incredible. I challenged them and they stepped up. I am on cloud 9 and I’ll keep saying how proud I am of them. ❤️🎼🎶🎤🥁🎹🎺🎵

Angelina’s 2nd grade class put on their music program and it was a baseball theme. She wanted to wear her Balale Music Studio Softball Jersey. I sponsored her team last year. She asked to wear it without me even suggesting it. It was such an innocent gesture but made me feel so proud that she wanted to represent her mommy 💞⚾️🎹

I’m so proud of all of my students who participated in the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs today! Everyone received a superior rating, which it the highest rating you can get! All of their hard work and practice paid off! I couldn’t be more happy for them 😊 They deserved it!!! 👏🏼👏🏼
