It’s been a minute since I’ve properly introduced myself around here, so hi I’m Jenna! I’m the creative half of this business.

I’m a lot of things a business owner, an artist, a teacher, a wife, and most importantly, a mama to two boys.

I studied at the University of Cincinnati and graduated from their DAAP program, then went on to earn my Master’s in Education from Ohio University.

I learned to sew as a child. My grandma taught me, she was big on the idea of “Why should I do it for you when I can teach you a skill you can carry with you?” That mindset has stuck with me my entire life.

I found my way back to my love of sewing in high school, and it never really left. I’ve always had little projects going for friends and family, but after having our first NICU baby, I realized I just didn’t have it in me to return to a classroom full-time while also having a little one at home.

Jon convinced me to start posting my projects online… and well, 1054 was born.

What started as a little creative outlet has grown into something I honestly still have a hard time wrapping my head around. We’ve done live embroidery activations for brands and artists like MGK, worked an activation at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, shipped orders internationally, and watched this tiny dream grow into something I never could have imagined. All while also growing our family and welcoming our second little boy in 2024.

And somehow, after all of that, I STILL get ridiculously excited every time someone chooses to purchase something from us.

Because every design I create is more than just a product. It’s a little piece of me that I’ve poured my time, creativity, and heart into.

So if you’re new here welcome. And if you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you for helping me turn this maternity leave project into something so much bigger than I ever dreamed it could be.
