Milestone year! Whittier Middle School's Tri-Town Family 5K returns on Sunday, November 8th, 2026 and it is once again open to everyone. Join us for a fun family morning on the Minot trails and fields in a terrific community event.

Registration is open...and it's free! Let's get the word out there and make this the biggest and best event so far.

We are seeking local sponsors to help make the big day a special one. Tell your friends. All sponsors of at least $100 by October 8th will get their logo on the back of the event shirt. Interested potential sponsors should contact Shawn Vincent ([email protected] or 998-3462).

Girls soccer games are canceled today. Unfortunately, the other district is unable to transport their teams. Grade 7 is practicing at 3:15. Grade 8 is not practicing today.

Boys games are on as scheduled.

Senior Tax Filing Informational Sessions - This is a collaboration between Community Concepts & Community CASH Coalition of Western Maine. This is a free resource but we're asking folks to sign up so we can get an idea how many people will be attending.

Parents, please check your email junk folder. We send out a school newsletter every weekend. The newsletter is also posted on the school website on Mondays.

We had a great week welcoming our students back to school! Thank you for all you did at home to prepare them to start the year right. Now, it's time to rest and recover.

Coach Lane shared that the middle school cross country team is still accepting new runners. They would love to have at least five girls and five boys so they have enough runners to score at the meets.

The cross country team will meet by the tree to the right of the middle school entrance on Monday for practice. Practice times are 2:30-4:00. There is no practice on Wednesdays.

Field hockey practices begin on Monday. Coach Downing shared that the practice times for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will be 3:15-4:45.

Students may stay at school and wait for the start of practice or go home and come back. If players choose to stay, they should wait in the cafeteria.
