On Saturday July 11, 2026, BJJ Shore Academy proudly celebrated a milestone day as we recognized students whose years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to Brazilian JiuJitsu were rewarded with the rank of Black Belt, while also honoring our black belt students and instructors who earned their next
degree from Professor Bill Scott.

We are proud to congratulate our four newly promoted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts. This achievement represents years of relentless training, countless hours on the mats, overcoming adversity, and refusing to quit.
A black belt is far more than a rank-it is a symbol of discipline, humility, resilience, and the lifelong pursuit of excellence!

These four individuals are also dedicated law enforcement instructors who bring their knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to serving others both on and off the mats. Their leadership and example make this accomplishment even more meaningful. 👍🏻👍🏻

We also proudly congratulate ten black belt students and instructors who were awarded new degrees on their belts. Each degree reflects years of continued dedication to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, faithful service to the academy, and an enduring commitment to learning, teaching, and leading by example!

He is recognized at this rank by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), the world’s premier governing body for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

This prestigious milestone reflects more than two decades of unwavering dedication to the art, a lifelong commitment to excellence, and his continued passion for teaching and developing students both on and off the mats.
