Wildcat Family Friday...
Week 3: Every School Day Matters!

Learning builds from one day to the next.

When children are healthy and able to attend, being at school gives them opportunities to hear explanations, ask questions, practice skills, and learn with classmates.

A smooth school day can start the night before. Try packing backpacks, choosing clothes, and following a consistent bedtime and morning routine.

Schedule appointments outside school hours when possible.

Children should stay home when they are sick and return when they are well enough to learn.

If transportation, health, anxiety, or another challenge is making attendance difficult, please reach out. Roosevelt is here to help!

Wildcat Family Friday is back for Week 2!

Reading together is wonderful, but talking about a book can make the experience even more meaningful. As you read this weekend, pause once or twice and ask,

“What do you think will happen next?”🧐
“Why did that happen?” 🤔
“What makes you think so?”🤨

Give your child time to answer. Younger children can point to a picture, draw, or tell you what they notice.

Older children can find a sentence or detail that supports their thinking.

There is no worksheet and no quiz—just a relaxed conversation about something you enjoy reading together.

Small moments at home make a BIG difference at school!
