Family Farm Day with our TK-2 classes today. It was a day filled with a student-guided farm walk, watercoloring in the garden, fresh apple juice making, and enjoying a delicious meal featuring foods grown and prepared with the kiddos. We love sharing these experiences with our families! 💙💚🌼🐓🍅

Today we recognize Orange Shirt Day, also known as Every Child Matters. This day honors Indigenous children who were taken from their families and communities to attend residential schools, and it’s a time to reflect on the importance of kindness, inclusion, and remembering every child’s inherent worth. 🧡

All School Campout. Last week our school gathered at the Albion Field Station for our annual All School Campout. We have been setting aside these two days for the past few years as a way to connect in community and share time for learning and playing. It was two days full of exploring, cooking, kayaking, fishing, and simply being. So many special moments with our school community. 💙💚🌊🌲

From Catalina to Point Arena. Last year the middle school students loved playing Gaga ball during their time at CELP. At the end of last school year, in anticipation of moving up to 200 Lake Street, they voted to build a Gaga ball court as part of our preparations for the middle school campus. It is now a reality! Thank you to all of the family volunteers who helped to make it happen!

Kicking off the school year with our first Family Forum of 26.27. Thanks to all of the families who were able to join and learn more about our schoolwide and classroom goals for the year. We appreciate our school community! 💙🌲💚🌊

Farm days have started for our TK-K and 1-2 classes. Ms. Lili’s and Mr. Nathan’s classes kicked off their farm days with gardening, nature art, foraging, journaling, chicken tending, and of course some much needed howling in the beloved cypress tree. 🌳 🥬
