For anyone whose child has come to Kindermusik in the past: if you have any instruments that you would like to declutter from your home, I would be happy to take them off your hands. Especially the glockenspiels!

Lots of new things this year but I would still like to do some Kindermusik classes! If you are interested, please please please let me know days and times that work for you. I am creating a new schedule this year and I would like to accommodate as many as would like to come. Thank you so much for your support all these years!

Aw, springtime... when parents start wondering if their preschoolers will be ready for kindergarten next year! I just saw another kindergarten readiness "checklist," and it annoyed me so much that I decided to make my own list! Unlike some lists that you might see this spring, you will notice that this list is not stuffed with academic standards. *This* list has things that actual kindergarten teachers hope kids are ready to do. It's based on my own experiences with groups of young children and dozens of kindergarten teachers I've talked with. It turns out that your 5yo does NOT need to know the entire alphabet, each letter's sounds, the 50 states, cardinal directions, or a dozen other things I've seen! Most kindergarten teachers are thrilled if your kid can take care of himself in the bathroom and at lunchtime... and bonus points if they can behave in a group and recognize a few letters! Take a deep breath, take heart, and enjoy playing with your kids this summer.

We are sad to announce that Leapin’ Lizards Preschool will not be in operation next year- school year 2022-2023. This has been such a hard decision for us to make. We have absolutely loved our years of teaching and we love and miss all of our students. Unfortunately, personal circumstances are such that we don’t feel we can continue to offer a high quality pre-school education next year. We are not ready to say one way or the other if or when we will be back. We are just taking things a year at a time. Thank you to everyone for supporting us over the years! It has been an incredible adventure!
