Congratulations to our wonderful nuclear engineering department faculty, Dr. Jay Kunze, Dr. Chad Pope, Dr. Mary Lou Dunzik Gougar and Dr. Michael Lineberry on the new AGN-201 control console ribbon cutting ceremony!

Thank you to all the students, faculty, and public members that worked diligently to make this upgrade possible.

The Idaho State University Department of Nuclear Engineering held a ribbon cutting for their new reactor console on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Are you a student in the process of finishing your PhD in the field of or have you just recently defended your thesis? The ANS Young Member Group is organizing a “Pitch your PhD” competition at the Winter on Nov 18 in the afternoon. You will have 3 minutes to present your thesis & captivate an audience of peers who will vote for the best pitches. The winners will receive $500 (1st place), $250 (2nd place) awards given out during the conference. The winner will also be invited to publish their pitch in ANS News and to present an ANS webinar hosted by the Generation IV International Forum (GIF). To register to participate in this competition, you just need to contact Nicolas Stauff ([email protected]) BEFORE October 30 w/your name, university, PhD subject, & defense date. Registering to this event does not preclude participation as a speaker/poster at the Annual Meeting. We are looking forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C.
