Hello Bengals!

Just a friendly reminder that registration for the Fall 2017 semester will be starting next week on April 10th at 12:01 a.m. Be sure to meet with your advisor to plan your fall schedule accordingly. You can view the Fall 2017 schedule online. Below is the link to the dates of each class level's registration date. Remember that the number of credits also includes the credits you are currently taking.

Many students come to ISU with limited funds and no experience with Pocatello's winters. This is why ASISU is partnering up with the office of Student Affairs to host a winter coat drive. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, November 16th. You can drop of new or gently used coats, hats, scarves, and gloves at the campus connection desk, in the SUB, from 7:30am to 8:00pm or contact them for pick up at 282-2427 or via email at [email protected].

On November 17th and 18th, the items collected will be available for students who need winter clothes in the Little Wood River room located in the Pond Student Union Building from 11am-5pm.

Also, if you are a former foster youth, emancipated youth, or ward of the court there is a program at ISU just for you! Stop in for a few minutes during lunch at the Student Affairs Conference Room 205A, located in the hypostyle of the SUB, to learn more about how we can support you in your educational efforts, and have some pizza on us. Urgent!

We would like to inform our students that they can start applying to FAFSA starting now. The application has been available since October 1st, and we strongly encourage student to apply as soon as possible. Priority deadline is November 30th!! The aid that will be awarded to the students for the 2017-2018 academic school year will be based on the income tax information from 2015. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out and it is free aid so why not give it a try! Many of you may be wondering what the Guardian Scholars program is all about. Here at Idaho State, the staff is committed to helping former foster youth obtain the resources necessary to complete a post-secondary education. Such items include various forms of counseling services on campus as well as assisting foster youth in making connections with resources offered in the community. We would like to share with you a short video on the Guardian Scholars program offered at Southwestern College located in Chula Vista, California.
