Idaho State University Department of Counseling Our mission is to prepare quality counselors for settings in Idaho and across the nation.

The Department of Counseling offers CACREP-accredited master's degrees in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Student Affairs Counseling. In addition, we offer an education specialist degree in Counseling and a CACREP-accredited doctorate in Counselor Education and Counseling. Our Masters Degree started the Clinical Rehabilitation Coun

seling specialty in Fall 2020. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling majors leading to the Master of Counseling degree and the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling are also offered at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center.

Congratulations to 2 of our PhD in CES students: Adenike Ololade Adedapo and Angelina Amoako Mensah. They are 2026-2027 recipients of International Peace Scholarship which provides scholarships to international women pursuing graduate studies in the United States from the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Sisterhood which is an international women's organization committed to supporting women through scholarships, grants, and low-interest loans.

The Department of Counseling hosted  our first Annual Interprofessional Behavioral Health Job Fair on April 8thon Pocatello and Meridian Campuses! We had 24 sites represented as this Job Fair. Our goal is to connect our students with existing community resources for their clients and offer a chance for them to learn about internship, career, and other professional development opportunities through these local organizations.
