Join us for the 9/11 Remembrance Week Kick-Off Event on Tuesday, September 8, from 10 AM–3 PM at the ISU Quad & Gravely Hall Lobby.

Come together for hands-on service projects honoring the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the spirit of service that continues today. ❤️💙

Projects include:
⭐ Painting rocks for food-growing kits
⭐ Assembling appreciation kits
⭐ Making thank-you cards for first responders
⭐ Creating artwork for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Hansen worked on-site at Ground Zero for 150 days.

“It was 6 months after the attacks that K9 Hansen and I reported to Ground Zero for a 6 am to 6 pm tour. We were requested to respond for a search. So after driving the gator, with Hansen, to search area we climbed down 100 feet into a hole where Hansen located several victim remains.”

Meet Fidel!

“Fidel’s pitter patter on your leg opens your heart to receive his constraint love.”

“Fidel, a Good Dog Foundation therapy dog, won honorable mention in the American Kennel Club’s Awards for Canine Excellence in 2002, the ASPCA “Trooper” award and was one of three honored by the American Red Cross for outstanding service as a therapy dog in serving those affected by the 9/11 World Trade Center Tragedy- making over 9 visits to Ground Zero.”
