Eleven Idaho State University teacher candidates participated in the fourth annual Teaching in Rural Areas Immersion Learning (TRAIL) Experience in Challis, Idaho!

During their visit to the Challis School District, candidates connected with educators and school leaders, visited Stanley School, and learned firsthand about building strong relationships in rural communities. They also had the chance to visit local attractions: North Custer Museum, Bayhorse Interpretive Center, and Bayhorse Ghost Town in the Land of the Yankee Fork State Park.

Collaborating across Idaho to support student success! 🌟

Last week, we hosted the EMPWRing School Mental Health and Leadership Summer Institute and brought together school administrators, school psychologists, school-based professionals, and community mental health providers across Idaho for a three-day conference focused on networking, collaboration, and hands-on professional development.

A huge thank you to Mr. Peter C. Koehler (Idaho State Board of Education), Idaho SESTA, and all of the presenters and participants who joined us!

The institute focused on:
-Strengthening school mental health systems
-Professional learning & networking for school psychologists, educators, and administrators
-Hands-on collaboration to support Idaho students

Together, we are ensuring school-based professionals have the tools they need to help students thrive.
