We all have a retreat personality…

📋 The Planner — projects cut, labeled and ready to go.
🧳 The Over-Packer — enough projects for approximately 37 days.
🦉 The Night Owl — “I'll go to bed after this seam.”
🍿 The Snack Queen — basically running the retreat concession stand.
🧵 The Project Starter — finishes nothing. Has an AMAZING time.
🦋 The Social Butterfly — knows everybody before dinner.

And some of us are a slightly dangerous combination of several. 😂

🚐💜 WINNIE IS READY FOR HER CLOSE-UP!

Todd and Terry have been working HARD behind the scenes getting Winnie Becky & Tracey ready—and it's finally time to show you what they've been up to!

We're switching things up, so Sister Shenanigans will NOT be at our normal 9 AM MT time.

Instead, watch for us to pop on earlier than usual for a special LIVE tour of Winnie! 👀🚐

We'll show you around, share some of the things Todd & Terry have done to get her ready for the road, and probably discover a few more things we didn't know we needed. 😂

💜 WHY RETREAT?

Sure, we go on quilting retreats to sew… but some of the very best things we bring home aren't quilts.

It's uninterrupted time at the machine. 🧵
It's laughing until your cheeks hurt. 😂
It's learning something you didn't think you could do.
It's meals you didn't have to plan.
It's staying up way too late because “just one more seam…”
And sometimes, it's meeting the woman sitting across the table and leaving with a brand-new quilting sister. 💕

That's the magic of retreating.

😂 Laughing until your stomach hurts

🤦‍♀️ Talking each other into starting another project
🛍️ Saying, “You should totally buy it!”

…and when the weekend is over, you still actually like each other. 😂💜

🤫 QUILTER CONFESSIONS!

Okay, quilters. This is a safe space.

NO QUILT POLICE ALLOWED. 🚫🚓🧵

What is something you do as a quilter that you're pretty sure you're “not supposed” to do?

Do you ignore grainline?
Press whichever direction you feel like?
Use your good fabric without prewashing? 😱
Have absolutely NO idea where your seam ripper is because you just sew over the mistake and move on? 😂
Change the pattern halfway through because you suddenly have a “better idea”?

Whatever it is… SPILL IT.

We have a feeling we're going to discover that a whole lot of those “quilting rules” aren't nearly as universal as we thought.

🔧 MEANWHILE… WINNIE IS IN THE SHOP!

Winnie is spending a little time at Todd’s shop while Todd and Terry work on getting her Becky & Tracey ready! 🚐💜

There’s cleaning to do, things to check, things to fix and probably a few things we don’t even know need attention yet. 😂

But underneath all the Winnie fun, there’s something we really want to say:

We couldn't do all of these crazy adventures without the people who stand behind us.

Todd and Terry may not always be the ones you see in the pictures, teaching the classes or standing in front of the camera—but they are very often behind the scenes helping us figure out how to make the next adventure happen.

Whether it's turning a wrench, solving a problem, hauling something, cleaning something, fixing something or simply supporting another one of our “So…we have an idea…” conversations, they show up. 💕

And we are incredibly grateful.

So while Winnie gets a little TLC, we're over here dreaming about where she'll take us next.

Although first we need to determine exactly how much fabric constitutes an unreasonable payload. Asking for two friends. 😂🧵
