Sad because we can’t make it to Voodoo Donut Denver, but happy that we get to try a new flavor of Garrett Popcorn!

Sister Shenanigan will be at 10:30 MT - Life happens!!

10/05/2026

🧵😂 If you could go back to the day you started quilting… what would you tell yourself?
That's what we're talking about on this week's Sister Shenanigans!
Becky and Tracey are digging into the things we wish we'd known—the mistakes, the unnecessary purchases, the things we were afraid to try and probably a few “WHY did nobody tell me this?!” moments.
But we want yours, too!
Finish this sentence:
💬 “I wish someone had told me __________ when I started quilting.”
Drop yours below—we may talk about it during Sister Shenanigans!

🏔️🧵 KALISPELL… WE’RE NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!
We had such a wonderful time at the Flathead Quilters Guild Show—meeting quilters, talking projects, swapping stories and getting to know this incredible quilting community.

💜During our interactions, one thing became pretty clear:
We need more quilting adventures up north. 💜
We met wonderful quilters, talked about projects, swapped stories and heard over and over again how much you love having opportunities to gather, learn and sew together.
Well… the Sisters heard you. 😉
We’re headed back to the Flathead Valley for Glacier Camp, April 22–25, 2027, and this time we’re bringing the whole retreat experience with us!
🧵 Plenty of sewing time

🍽️ Meals included
🏡 Lodging included
💜 And plenty of opportunities to find your people
And remember—it’s YOUR retreat. Learn with us, bring your own projects, or do a little of both. No Quilt Police allowed. 😂
Montana quilters—we want to see you again!
Tag the quilting friend you'd bring along. 👇

We could tell you what happens when you retreat with The Great Quilting Adventure…
But we thought we'd show you instead. 💜
⭐ THE PROJECT
Want to make the Sisters' retreat project and learn along with us? Absolutely!
🧵 YOURS OR OURS
Have something else calling your name? Bring it! Work on a UFO, start something new, take the class—or do a little of everything.
Remember: It's YOUR retreat. There are no Quilt Police here. 😂
🍽️ THE FOOD
Because apparently quilting burns approximately 47,000 calories a day. At least that's the story we're sticking with. 😉
😂 THE FUN
Games. Prizes. Laughing. Visiting. Late-night sewing. Sister Shenanigans. And all those moments we could never put on an itinerary.
Yes, we make quilts.
But retreat is about so much more than what gets finished.
It's getting away for a few days.
Trying something new.
Sitting down next to someone you didn't know before.
Laughing until your cheeks hurt.
And maybe leaving with a few more people in your quilting circle than you arrived with. 💜
The quilting brings us together.
The people make it an adventure.
Come quilt. Come learn. Come laugh. Come find your people.

What does the sewing room look like at a Sisters’ Retreat? 🧵✂️

Well…let’s just say it doesn’t stay tidy for long. 😂

Machines are humming. Fabric is EVERYWHERE. Cutting tables are covered. Projects are taking over every available surface. Someone is looking for the ruler they just had.

And all around the room?

People are sewing, visiting, helping each other, laughing and creating.

A perfectly messy room full of happy quilters. ❤️

That’s exactly what a retreat sewing room should look like.

💜 THIS is why we retreat.

Yes, we come for the quilting.

We come to learn new things. We bring projects we swear we're going to finish. We pack enough fabric to stay approximately six months. 😂

But somewhere between the first stitch and the last late-night laugh, something else happens.

You find your people.

The ones who understand why you needed that fabric.

The ones who celebrate when your points match.

The ones who help when they don't.

And sometimes the person who arrived as a stranger leaves as the friend you're already planning your next retreat with.

That's The Great Quilting Adventure.

Come quilt. Come learn. Come laugh. Come find your people. 💜
