M is for Mastery 🌿

At Branch Academy, we don’t expect every child to learn the same thing at the exact same pace.

If a student needs a little more time, we give them that time. If they’re ready to move ahead, we don’t want to hold them back.

Our goal is understanding, not just getting through the lesson.

We want our kids building strong foundations, feeling confident in what they know, and learning that it’s okay for growth to look a little different for everyone.

L is for Life Skills 🌿

This is a big part of the Branch Academy vision.

We want our kids learning math, reading and science, but we also want them learning the things they’ll actually use every day.

Cooking a meal, cleaning up after themselves, growing food, handling money, caring for animals, using tools, helping others and learning how to figure things out on their own.

They’re little now, but we’re raising future adults and we want them to leave us knowing, “I can do hard things. I can figure this out. I can help.”

K is for Kitchen 🍞

The kitchen will be another classroom for us this year!

Our kids will have opportunities to cook, bake, follow recipes, measure ingredients and learn the everyday skills that come with preparing food.

And we’re especially excited to connect it all together, harvesting something from our garden, bringing it into the kitchen, and actually getting to make and eat something with it.

Sometimes learning looks like books and pencils… and sometimes it looks like flour all over the counter.

The verse behind our name.

“I am the vine; you are the branches…” — John 15:5

When we dreamed about what Branch Academy could be, we wanted the name to point right back to the foundation of it all: Jesus.

Our hope is to help raise children who are growing in knowledge, confidence and character, but above all, who know where their roots are.

We can teach them so many things, but our greatest hope is that they learn to remain in Him as they grow.

That’s where Branch Academy comes from.

I is for Individualized Learning

One of the things we love most about keeping Branch Academy small is getting to really know each child as a learner.

Not every child will be on the exact same page at the exact same time, and that’s okay.

We’ll meet our students where they are, give extra support when they need it, and let them keep moving when they’re ready.

Small classes give us the freedom to teach the child in front of us, not just the grade on the paper.

H is for Heroes 🇺🇸

We want our kids to know that heroes aren’t just people they see in movies.

They’re our firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members and veterans, the people right here in our community who choose to serve others.

This year, we hope to get our kids face-to-face with some of these amazing people. To hear their stories, ask questions, learn what they do and, most importantly, learn to respect and honor those who serve.

G is for Garden 🌱

This summer, a little vision of ours came to life with the addition of a full fruit and vegetable garden in our corner lot!

Our Treehouse summer program and preschoolers helped get it planted and growing, and we’re excited to carry that into the school year with both our Treehouse preschoolers and Branch Academy students.

They’ll get to help care for the garden, harvest what we grow, eat it with lunch, learn to can and preserve, and even add some of it to our little farm stand.

F is for Farm Stand 🌿

This might be one of Mrs. Brandi’s most anticipated projects!

Our little yellow entrance is getting a Branch Academy green makeover, and right inside our lobby we’re creating our very own farm stand.

Throughout the year, our students will help fill it with things we’ve had a hand in growing, making, and gathering, items grown in house, picked out in the community, and created right here at school. From fresh vegetables and fruit, eggs, baked goods, sourdough, Play-Doh kits, soaps, and other little creations, the sky is the limit for our kids.

But the best part is everything they’ll learn along the way. They’ll experience what it looks like to work hard, create something of value that they’re proud of, sell it, and handle real money. They’ll learn what it costs to invest back into what they’re making, how to calculate their profit, what it means to save, and the importance of giving and tithing.

It’s real life math, responsibility, stewardship and a little entrepreneurship all wrapped into one.

A little farm stand with a whole lot of learning packed into it. We can’t wait to watch this one grow. 🌿

E is for Educational Rooms 🌿

This year, Branch Academy will call The Treehouse home, with two dedicated educational rooms for our students.

But we definitely don’t plan on staying in them all day.

Some days our classroom will be outside. Some days it might be at a local farm, in the garden, or even inside a barn.

We love having a space to sit down, open our books and focus, but we also know learning doesn’t have to happen in one room.

We’re excited to see all the places this school year takes us.
