Equipment review time. First off, I am not affiliated with either of these companies in any way. I’ve owned the Axil XCor ear pro for a few years. The only negative I can say is that using them for more than an hour hurts my ears. Definitely not high scores for comfort.
I recently picked up a pair of Ravine Field Ops Pro. The majority of the research I did before purchase noted they were very comfortable, especially for extended use. I tested these out at the range yesterday and wore them non-stop for about 2.5 hours. The comfort was outstanding!
One difference I notice between the two was the sound amplification/reduction options. Ravine has four different settings that you can choose from. Axil is either on or off.
If you are looking for electronic ear pro, I highly recommend the Ravine Field Ops. One thing I like about ear buds like this versus over the ear protection is they don’t get in the way when you’re shooting rifles.
Ravine has them on sale right now, and they are quite a bit cheaper than Axil. You can test drive them for 30 days and return them no questions asked if you aren’t satisfied.
