We want to congratulate Master Rigan Machado on his pinnacle achievement in Jiu-Jitsu. Being awarded the rare and prestigious rank of 9th degree Red Belt is a reflection of his lifetime dedication to the Art, his deep knowledge from continued study, and the amazing person he is. From a formidable competitive career to teaching and sharing his passion worldwide, Rigan remains one of the most humble and giving persons on the planet. Last night several students ranked up after years and years of training. EJJA added 2 more Brown Belts, another Purple Belt, 2 more Blue Belts and lots of youth Belts to our EJJA family. Every promotion earned, not given…each has competed and tested their skills, assist with coaching kids classes, reffing tournaments or score keeping, giving back to Jiu-Jitsu. The most important aspect of these new ranks aren’t all the medals they’ve contributed on our wall of inspiration…it’s their amazing character which is paramount above all else…amazing teammates and even better individuals. 🙌🏻👏🏻🤙🏻

This weekend we had the honor and privilege of hosting Master Rigan Machado, who taught an amazing Adult and Kids Seminar! The kids were tested by Master Rigan in areas of reflex, strength, endurance, speed, and knowledge. The adult session covered 7 techniques which all correlated to one specific figure 4 “Anaconda” leg entrapment from several positions. Master Rigan was kind enough to visit our No GI class Friday night and share a few awesome drills with the Team. Congratulations (Brian Baker) who earned his 3rd Degree Black Belt from Rigan and EJJA Coach, David Ramos receiving his 1st degree Diploma. We would like to thank Deep Half BJJ (Utah), SOMA (Idaho Falls & Rexburg), and Unified (Utah) for having amazing students and Black Belts join us! Seminars would not happen without support of BJJ community.
