To interpret the history and culture of the Hudson Valley with meticulous attention to accuracy based on thorough research. To present each site and its historical significance in the context of key humanities themes as they evolved in the region. To create programming that responds to the various learning styles and evolving interest

s of visitors and, where appropriate, draws on advanced communications technology. To make programs and sites accessible and welcoming to all members of the community. To maintain the highest standards of preservation management at all sites. To safeguard collections through on-going research, documentation, and conservation. On Saturday and Sunday, August 8 & 9, Tavern Nights is taking over the Ferry House at Van Cortlandt Manor for two evenings of live music, Revolutionary War history, and great food and drink.

Your ticket covers a full meal—complete with cornbread, a table grazing board, chicken entrée, and dessert—plus your choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy live violin performances by Edward W. Hardy, test your history knowledge during a game of trivia, and get up-close access to rare artifacts on display.
