𧑠UNITY DAY AT POCAHONTAS ELEMENTARY! π§‘
Wednesday, October 21, 2026
Hello, PES Team!
We are excited to celebrate Unity Day at Pocahontas Elementary on Wednesday, October 21st! Everyone is encouraged to WEAR ORANGE to show kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!
Unity Day is part of National Bullying Prevention Month and promotes a powerful message: Promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.
Wearing orange is a simple but meaningful way to show that we stand together, everyone belongs, and no one has to feel alone. Itβs an opportunity to empower our students to speak up, show kindness, embrace differences, and help create a school community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included.
𧑠LET'S BRING UNITY DAY TO LIFE!
Here are a few fun and engaging ideas to celebrate with our students:
𧑠Decorate classroom doors with messages of kindness and inclusion.
𧑠Create unity banners or collaborative art projects.
𧑠Set up photo opportunities to celebrate our school community.
𧑠Incorporate orange-themed snacks into breakfast or lunch.
𧑠Lead classroom discussions and activities focused on kindness, acceptance, and belonging.
I would love to hear what you are already planning in your classrooms, along with any additional ideas you have for making Unity Day a fun, engaging, and meaningful experience for our students!
Even something as simple as wearing orange can make a difference. Together, we can reinforce an important message:
EVERY STUDENT MATTERS. EVERY STUDENT BELONGS. KINDNESS STARTS WITH US!
Thank you for helping make Pocahontas Elementary a place where all students feel safe, supported, and included. Let's show our PES INDIAN PRIDE by standing together for kindness and unity!
DON'T FORGET TO WEAR ORANGE ON OCTOBER 21ST! π§‘
