📚 Investing in Our Teachers, Strengthening Our Classrooms!

Our instructional coaches, Monica Brewington and Wendy Roberts, are attending professional development focused on Jim Knight’s instructional coaching model, with Dr. Jim Knight and Dr. Mary Webb, Consultant.

Through this training, Monica and Wendy are gaining additional tools and strategies to provide ongoing support, collaboration, and professional growth for teachers across our district.

And because professional development can include a little friendly competition… congratulations to Monica on taking the win in the Rock, Paper, Scissors competition!

Learning, growing, and having a little fun along the way!

PES families, just a quick reminder about drinks brought to school!

Students may bring a water bottle with a secure lid, but water should be the only drink in water bottles brought into the classroom.

Other drinks may be brought for lunch or snack only and should stay packed inside your child’s lunch box until that time. Please do not send students into school with coffee, energy drinks, soft drinks, or other beverages to carry throughout the day.

Thank you for helping us keep our classrooms clean, organized, and ready for learning!

Homecoming Week may have kept us busy, but we couldn’t let this one go unrecognized!

Last week was National Custodian Appreciation Day, and we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible custodians across Pocahontas School District!

They’re often working behind the scenes, but the difference they make is seen every single day. From keeping our schools clean and welcoming to helping wherever they’re needed, we’re incredibly thankful for all they do for our students and staff.

We appreciate our PSD custodians — today and every day! ❤️🤍
