Action Academy is looking to add a part-time staff member to our team for afternoons only, 12-15 hours per week. This position would be a great opportunity for a high school senior or BRTC college student who is interested in child development or becoming a teacher or therapist to gain hands on experience. Hello! The last 3 years of operating a childcare center have been filled with lots of learning and growth. Since 2020, we have welcomed several children (& their families) through our doors to become a part of our Action Academy family. Our center started as a program for a few family friends and ITS staff children to attend daycare where they could be just downstairs from our ITS clinic. While we have had several ITS therapist kids in our program, we also had the pleasure to provide childcare to several other families in our community. Our initial goal for Action Academy was to provide a place for ITS employees to send their children during the workday. We have worked very hard to establish a positive reputation and center in our rural community over the last three years. We are finally at a place where we have enough ITS children to fill our center and where we can offer childcare services exclusively to our ITS employees. As of January 1, 2024 (excluding the children currently enrolled in our center), Action Academy will be a private childcare institution for ITS employees ONLY and its affiliates. We will no longer maintain a waitlist of children awaiting spots in our center. If your child is currently on our waitlist, we encourage you to arrange other childcare plans. We have loved being involved in the care of so many children within our community and have learned so much since our doors opened in 2020. It is time for us to move forward to achieve our primary goal for originally establishing Action Academy. Thank you all for your past and present support of our program! 🖤
