⚓ Building More Than a Facility—Building a Future.

On July 20th we hosted a “Scripture Signing and Prayer” event at our new building and the outcome was beautiful. Our new and existing families came AND brought their family and friends ❤️ They all came with verses of scripture and placed them all over our walls and filled our building with the Word of God. People came that we didn’t even know and we made beautiful, God ordained connections with people from our community….and a few prospective students. Following the scripture signing we all joined for prayer and everyone lifted up their voices in prayer. After, we broke out in worship as one voice and God’s name was lifted high in our bare bones, no walls yet, building and helped us see what the future holds in this place. A place that families have prayed for, a future of relationships with our community, and a place that will reach generations of people. We are looking forward to this new year and making many memories 💙💛🤍

📣 Reminder 📣 NOI due by August 15!

The 2026-2027 Home School Notice of Intent (NOI) is due August 15. You can file electronically or by paper form. ALL forms go to your local school district of residency. Do not send the NOI to Education Alliance or the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). Each family must file an NOI each school year. If you are experiencing technical difficulties accessing your account in the portal, please call the ADE, Home School Office for assistance at 501-683-3162

Sometimes the greatest classroom is free play. 🌿

At Lighthouse Training Academy, we believe children were created by God with unique gifts, talents, and purposes. One of the best ways we discover those gifts is simply by watching them play.

When children have the freedom to explore, create, build, imagine, and discover, their natural interests begin to shine. One child may spend hours designing and constructing. Another may gather friends to lead a game. Some are drawn to books, nature, art, animals, music, or caring for others.

These moments aren’t “just play”—they’re windows into how God uniquely designed each child.

As teachers, we intentionally observe, encourage, and cultivate those God-given interests. When we understand how a child is wired, we can help them grow with confidence, purpose, and a genuine love for learning.

We don’t want every child to fit the same mold. We want to help each one become who God created them to be.

🚀🔬 Learning Comes to Life at Lighthouse Training Academy! 🧪✨

At Lighthouse Training Academy, science isn't just something we read about—it's something we experience.

Our students recently put their knowledge of physics and chemistry into action through an exciting hands-on rocket project. With three trial launches, they observed, tested, adjusted, and tried again, learning that every experiment is an opportunity to grow.

Each launch challenged them to think critically:
💡 What made the rocket fly higher?
💨 How did air pressure and force affect the launch?
⚗️ What changes could improve the next attempt?

Rather than focusing only on the outcome, our students embraced the engineering design process—hypothesizing, testing, problem-solving, and improving with each trial. They discovered that perseverance, curiosity, and teamwork are just as important as scientific knowledge.

This is what education looks like when learning becomes an adventure. We are preparing students to become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and confident leaders by giving them opportunities to explore God's incredible creation through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
