Plot twist: Plymouth is officially being run by a Shaw dynasty, and we’re just living in it.

Did you know Indian Brook’s new Assistant Principal, Miss Shaw, is actually the sister of Plymouth South Middle’s Assistant Principal, Mr. Shaw? Naturally, an aggressive sibling rivalry has erupted over who holds the supreme title of "The #1 Shaw"—because why leave school spirit to the students when the administrators can start a turf war?

Mr. Shaw threw down the gauntlet with his video last week, so we had no choice but to drop our official response. Grab some popcorn; the Shaw Wars have officially begun.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, join us this September as we GO GOLD for HOPE! 🎗️

Our district is proud to be partnering with South Shore Action for Hope to show our support and bring awareness to childhood cancer. During the week of September 21-25, each school will have a gold boot in the lobby and will be collecting spare change to benefit Pediatric Cancer research. Students may also bring in homemade cards to be delivered to children who are battling cancer.

On Friday, September 25th, students and staff are encouraged to wear yellow or gold to show their support for those in our community who are impacted by childhood cancer. THANK YOU for your support! 💛

School is officially back in session, and we’re looking forward to our first Plymouth SEPAC public meeting of the 2026–2027 school year!

Whether you’ve joined us before or are just learning about SEPAC, all are welcome.

We’re looking forward to reconnecting, meeting new families, sharing resources, and starting another year of supporting and strengthening our special education community together.

If there are meeting topics, guest speakers, workshops, resources, or questions you’d like to see us cover, please share your ideas with us. Your feedback helps us plan meetings that reflect what Plymouth families and community members actually want and need.

Well that is a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year! Please join us in congratulating Kindergarten teacher extraordinaire, Lisa Lane on her retirement! Miss Lane will be missed at Indian Brook! We wish her the best!

Mrs. Hogan's 3rd grade class visited the Cordwainer Memory Care Facility a couple of weeks ago to socialize and share ice cream with its residents. It was an amazing opportunity and a way for our students to display acceptance, kindness and compassion.

Another busy week at IBES! Grade 3 went to Benson's Pond to learn about growing and harvesting cranberries and today former Indian Brook students who will be graduating from high school tomorrow walked the halls of the school and spoke to the students! Congratulations Class Of 2026!

What a busy week for Indian Brook students! Kindergarten went to Green Briar Nature Center, Grade 5 visited Plymouth South Middle School, Grade 4 went to Duxbury Maritime and Grade 2 went Cape Cod Natural History Museum. Add to that an amazing Art Show put on by Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Kotakis, an in school band and chorus concert and lots of extra recess and we are ready for a long weekend!
