Join us for a PSMA fundraiser!

On Saturday PCIS music students went to the Jr. SEMSBA auditions. Students prepared and performed solo pieces, scales/rudiments, and sight reading. A total of 12 students from PCIS auditioned. We are proud of all the students who auditioned and congratulate them on their hard work.

We had an amazing evening at the Providence Bruins. One hundred students delivered a beautiful rendition of “God Bless America.” Our students represented our school in a remarkable way, not only showing great musicianship, but they were well-behaved, polite, and respectful throughout the course of the entire event! This was an awesome event for our PCIS community!

After 4 months of rehearsals, PCIS students dazzled audiences with 2 captivating productions of “Moana Jr.”! We were thrilled to have a packed audience on Friday and a completely sold-out show on Saturday! Heartfelt congratulations to the phenomenal cast and crew of “Moana Jr.”! Over 80 students were showcase in this production, backed by devoted parents, PCIS alumni, and staff. A sincere appreciation to our outstanding production team for crafting an unforgettable experience. Special thanks to Leanne Bishop for these beautiful photos!

In Term 2 Mr. Birger’s exploratory music classes focused on the Ukulele. They learned about the instrument, how to play various chords, chord progressions, songs, and the instruments role in Hawaiian culture. The unit ended with students forming bands and picking a song to learn and either perform or record.

Some songs performed and/or recorded included: Call me maybe, Riptide, Just the way you are, Stand By Me, and Counting Stars.

We had our first Moana Jr. rehearsal on the Plymouth North stage today. Five hours of pure awesomeness. 🌊 Do you have your tickets?! It’s going to be a great show.
