Peter McRae Karate, Plymouth, MA Authentic Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate in America's Home Town (Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA) and is part of the Walter Mattson Dojo Group.

The Plymouth dojo was founded in 1973, by Peter McRae (Hanshi-9th Degree) Certificate No. 33 black belt. Peter was a personal student of Walter Mattson (10th Degree) black belt. The Plymouth Dojo is one of a number of Uechi-Ryu karate dojos recognized by the O.U.K.A. Peter continued to train with his teacher and also traveled to Okinawa to receive additional instruction. Although we are saddened b

y the passing of Peter McRae in 2018, our family and senior students, as well as Peter's teacher, Walter Mattson, are committed to continuing his legacy. Peter's senior student, Gary Sylvia (8th Degree black belt) is the head instructor of the adult classes and is also a test board member. Additional black belt instructors, with many years of combined experience, teach the children and advanced junior classes. Students of the Peter McRae Karate School come from all walks of life and vary in age. We study authentic karate in a safe, serious and friendly environment. We welcome visitors to attend a free class at our family-owned dojo.

We apologize for the delay, but since the Plymouth schools were closed and some of our instructors had no power and no plowing at their residences, we had to put everyone's safety first.
