SUMMER FITNESS GOAL UPDATE!

I've never been so happy to have put a goal behind me! This medal was NOT an easy one to earn. 75.4 miles long and I felt every one of them in my right hip. But now I get to move on, I've saved my favorite medal for last and I got a t-shirt too! There's light at the end of this tunnel! 176 out of 200 miles done, 24 to go!!!

SUMMER FITNESS GOAL UPDATE

This Queen of Hearts is a real challenge y'all! Not only is the race 75.4 miles long, but I got a little behind due to a Rheumatoid Arthritis flair-up. BUT, I was able to make up for lost time over the weekend and I'm back on track!

147.6 out of 200 miles done!

SUMMER FITNESS GOAL UPDATE!

Whooooo areee youuuuuu?!?! Well friends, Mr. Caterpillar is #4 in a series of 6, and represents 27.4 miles! So far I've walked 100.7 miles toward my goal of 200 miles by September 1st!

Next is the Queen of Hearts... she takes a whopping 75.4 miles to catch... I must be crazy! Off with my head!!!

SUMMER FITNESS GOAL UPDATE!

While this isn't my favorite medal (so busy!) in the series, I couldn't leave out the title character! Here she is folks, #3 in a series of 6, Alice represents 22.4 miles! So far I've walked 73.3 miles toward my goal of 200 miles by September 1st!

SUMMER FITNESS GOAL UPDATE!

With this sweltering heat, I could only log 2.5 miles this morning... but I came home to find another medal in the mail! This is medal #2 of 6 and represents 30.5 miles! So far I've walked 50.9 miles toward my goal of 200 miles this summer!

The card is a perfect fit for this medal too, since my sweat glands worked overtime in order to get this bad boy!

I had to take a screenshot tonight, I almost couldn't believe it... Since running is not an option for me, I've been encouraged to time my walks and see if I can beat my own time. I've never timed myself at anything less than 15 min/mi. But tonight, 2.5 miles into my walk, I glance down and I was walking at a pace of 14'43" per mile!

Just because you can't run, doesn't mean you can't anything! Start where you're at, and you do you - but with excellence!

I got home from work today and my first medal was in the mail! I have a goal of walking 200 miles before September 1st, and this medal ( #1 of 6) represents 20.4 miles!
