I was raised in Plymouth and attended Plymouth-Carver High school. My family has been in Plymouth since the Mayflower arrived in 1620. I have an Associates and a Bachelor's degree in business administration. Currently I am working towards a graduate certificate in Business Communication from Harvard, and am taking a Diversity Certificate Course from The University of Southern Florida. I work full
time for an Educational Franchise Company as a field consultant working with franchisees helping them with Instruction, marketing, real estate and anything they need help with from the parent company to run their business. I have been advocating for students and families in education for over 20 years. I have sat on the school council for several schools in Wareham before returning to Plymouth where I served on almost all the school councils as both a school committee member as well as a parent. I have served as local and state PTA president as well as held an elected seat on the Board of Directors for the National PTA. I was the Federal Legislative chair for MA PTA, and am currently the Legislative chair for MASC as well as the Division III vice-chair. I served for many years on the Parent and Community advisory council to the DESE, and was one of the contributors to the current Parent Involvement Frameworks that are currently used by the DESE. I am also the Vice President of the Plymouth Fragment Society...the oldest continuous charitable organization in the country founded in 1818. We help residents of Plymouth, MA in need.
