Remember this post from May 2025 about my star sewing student Cassidy and her incredible prom gown?! WELL. I'm back with VERY EXCITING NEWS!
After being accepted to several prestigious fashion schools, Cassidy has committed to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York! We are SO proud, but not at all surprised. On Wednesday, June 17th from 7-9pm, we are hosting a "Grad Gallery" Portfolio Showcase to celebrate this remarkable young lady and recognize her incredible achievement. Cassidy will be displaying items she has designed and sewn over the years alongside her portfolio sketches and original designs that earned her acceptance to top fashion design programs.
The event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend. If you know a teen with an interest in pursuing fashion design, this would be a great way for them to see what goes into creating a portfolio.
