High school reimagined. Student-centered. Competency-based. Flexible. Highly supportive. There is no such thing as an average or typical student.
Map Academy is founded on a belief that every student can succeed, but that for some students, the path toward success does not fit the model of traditional high schools. There is no one size fits all educational model, or one size fits all timeline toward a high school diploma. We will meet students at their current level of engagement and resilience and increase expectations as they develop the academic, personal, and social tools they need for success in high school and life after graduation.

Map students went to see Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Strand Theatre in Boston! 🎭 They also stayed after the show for a “talk back” with the company, and got to ask some questions about fight choreography and set pieces.

In their Civics class, Map students opted to focus on issues around immigration, and their final project was a showcase event to raise awareness about LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of MA—encouraging donations and spreading the word about the organization's important work!

🎨 We’re so proud to share that two Map students have won the prestigious Silver Key from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running recognition program for creative teens. Lilly Markola won for her project “Happy Harry (The Puppet Pup),” and Vic Young won for his project “Footing (Sasquatch Style).” Congratulations, Lilly and Vic!
