It’s hard to believe that most of these Leaping Frog preschoolers will go to their last day of school tomorrow. It’s especially hard for me because my baby is in this class! Congratulations Class of 2026 your preschool teachers are very proud of you!

Wishing the fabulous Ms Marilyn a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Marilyn helped me open Leaping Frogs back in 2004 and although she isn’t working by my side she will always be part of Leaping Frogs. If you know her you adore her.

We absolutely love using ClassDojo because it truly gives families a “fly on the wall” view into our day. Instead of just hearing about what we did, parents get to actually see the special moments, the learning, and the fun as it happens. It creates such a strong home-school connection by keeping communication open and meaningful, and it helps families feel like they are right there with us. Sharing photos and updates also encourages great conversations at home—our friends love talking about what they see posted! ClassDojo allows us to highlight not just what we are doing, but why it matters, showcasing the learning behind each activity. It’s such a positive and simple way to celebrate our students while building a strong sense of community between school and home.

This adorable, multi-step craft was quite the project for our friends today! During Freeplay, they explored squeegee painting, building creativity while strengthening their arm muscles and coordination. Later at centers, they worked hard cutting out the seagull’s body and wings, practicing important fine motor skills and hand strength.
Once their pieces were ready, they carefully glued everything together and colored the beak before placing their finished seagull onto a beach scene. Activities like this may look simple, but they involve planning, sequencing, and lots of patience. We are so proud of the focus and effort our friends showed from start to finish!

What a wonderful surprise we had at school today! Our friends were thrilled to receive a visit from Rio, the fire department's comfort dog, and his handler, Emergency Management Director Christian Horvath.
