From Plymouth State classrooms to leading New Hampshire’s state parks 🌄

Shawn Hamilton ’12 began his career as a student employee at Pawtuckaway State Park—and now has been confirmed as Director of the N.H. Division of Parks and Recreation.

“Shawn Hamilton has the experience… and passion for the outdoors that we need in our next Parks director,” said Governor Kelly Ayotte.

His journey reflects a commitment to creating meaningful outdoor experiences for all. Congratulations, Shawn—we’re cheering you on!

Future Alumni Board, record breakers 👏

Thanks to the incredible student leadership of our Future Alumni Board, this year’s Senior Class Gift raised over $8,000 for the Mark T. Sylvestre Planetarium—setting a new record and carrying forward a proud tradition of giving back.

Fittingly, this moment comes full circle. Inspired by Dr. Mark T. Sylvestre during his time at Plymouth State, alumnus Paul Shulins ’79 recently published Deep Space Classics, a collection of astrophotography spanning nearly 50 years.

We’ll miss our Future Alumni Board graduating seniors (pictured by the Giving Tree).

We remember those who made sacrifices for our country and the freedoms we have today. Our campus is closed today in honor of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
