Manomet Elementary School

Congratulations to Oliver Tunks and Ivan Freyermuth on receiving this year’s Manomet Elementary School scholarships! Oliver was awarded the Gary R. Anderson Memorial Scholarship, and Ivan received the Chet Flattery Memorial Scholarship.

Both students are incredibly deserving of this recognition, and we are all so proud of their accomplishments. We wish Oliver, Ivan, and all members of the Class of 2026 continued success and the very best as they move forward into the next chapter of their journeys. Congratulations and best of luck in the future!

Congratulations to Evan French, Declan Huntley, and Liam Huntley on being invited to the State House on Tuesday to celebrate their project submission as part of the "Massachusetts Revolutionaries: Bold Stories, Bright Legacies" initiative. Their work centered around the amazing life of Boston legend, Bill Russell, and all of the contributions he made during his life both on and off the basketball court. They had the opportunity to meet Governor Healy, Lieutenant Governor Driscoll, and Secretary of Education Zrike.

Below are three documents with information about our upcoming “Roll to School” event where we are encouraging as many students as possible to either walk or bike to school even if only part of the way!
Check out the documents that include 1) a list of all logistics… 2) a graphic flyer to post on the fridge as a reminder… 3) a map that shares the flow of traffic that morning.

The event will be taking place on the morning of Friday, May 29th (weather permitting!). We hope to see you there! 🛴🚲 💨

What an AMAZING night! From bright paintings, to perfect pinch pots- the students absolutely shined, and it was so much fun seeing their creativity on display.

Thank you, Mrs. Farrell, for inspiring our young artists and filling the school with so much joy, talent, and creativity. The art show was truly a masterpiece! 🎨

A HUGE thank you to several scouts from Troop 51 for spending the day giving back to our school community! 💙

Their service projects included a major garden cleanup and the construction of a new picnic table alongside Mr. Bubba and scout leaders. The scouts worked incredibly hard, showed amazing teamwork, and took so much pride in transforming the garden space.

One especially memorable moment happened during lunch under the cherry tree, when a large hollow branch fell unexpectedly. Inside the branch, the scouts discovered a nest with newly hatched baby birds! The boys carefully secured the nest, repositioned the branch back in the tree, and gently braced it in hopes the mother bird will return to care for her babies. Such a thoughtful act of compassion and teamwork.

We are so grateful for these scouts and their commitment to service, leadership, and caring for both our school and the environment. Great job, Troop 51! 👏🌱🐦
