💚With the full heat of the season upon us, Gateway & Garden Juju has found new ways to pivot and adapt to the challenges of a crazy summer!

Since Michigan residents have had to question the safety of their greens and lettuces, we found that one of our organic Heritage Crops has taken off in popularity!

🌱Warrigal Spinach, a leafy green that originated in Australia and New Zealand has quickly become one of our most in-demand crops! Unlike spinach, Warrigal thrives in hot weather, giving farmers a longer growing season during unpredictable summer heat waves.

Warrigal Greens can be used much like spinach or Asian greens. Before eating, the leaves should always be blanched or steamed briefly to remove natural oxalates. Once prepared, they are incredibly versatile and work beautifully in stir-fries, omelettes, quiches and sautes!
