One that speaks to the soul beneath the surface.
It tells the story of a lifelong relationship between a boy and a tree, capturing deep themes of life, love, sacrifice, and the passage of time.
Metaphor: The Tree as the Eternal Giver, the Boy as the Evolving Self.
🌳The Tree = Unconditional Source
The parent, the lover, the earth, the divine feminine - a presence that asks for nothing and gives everything.
She represents wholeness, stability, and unwavering love. 💚
👦The Boy = The Seeking Ego
He begins as pure joy - playful, present, and connected.
But as time passes, desire creeps in.
He wants money, status, escape.
His needs become more material, more distant from the sacred simplicity of his youth.
🌿Life Stages as Metaphor:
1. Innocence (Childhood): The boy climbs, plays, laughs - in harmony with nature. He asks for nothing because he has everything.
2. Desire (Adolescence-Adulthood): He begins to want. Apples for wealth. Branches for shelter. A trunk for escape. Each time, the tree gives herself away piece by piece-without resistance.
➡️This mirrors how we consume love, time, and resources without always realizing what we take.
3. Emptiness (Midlife-Old Age): He has traveled, achieved, aged - but lost the joy he once had. When he returns, broken and tired, he no longer seeks to have - only to be.
➡️He sits on the stump. Nothing is left.... except presence.

🐦⬛The Deeper Symbolism:
The Tree is not just a giver. She is Being itself.
She watches the boy age, change, leave, and return -
yet never turns him away.
She is Time, Patience, and the Sacred Feminine Archetype -nurturing even in depletion.
The Boy is all of us.
Wandering through stages of wanting, until finally we return to stillness- and realize the stump we once overlooked is exactly what we needed.

But what he truly longed for was the stump

The boy didn't just come home to the tree- He came home to himself.
