We’re almost there! Class assignments are anticipated to be posted tomorrow (Thursday). As the excitement sets in and everyone shares the news with peers & parents, families will naturally start connecting the dots and seeing which teachers and classmates their children may have this year.
With that comes a friendly reminder about social media and the conversations that can happen around teacher assignments!
It’s completely normal to be curious about a new teacher, but before posting questions or opinions online, please remember that everyone’s perspective is different. A comment that seems harmless can quickly turn into a long thread of opinions, and those opinions may create an impression before a teacher has even had the opportunity to meet your child.
Additionally, we want to protect all of our children’s privacy and safety! Posting online any information regarding your child, school, teacher assignment, could have a negative impact.
Let’s kick off another school year by choosing kindness & like our amazing kids have learned to embrace, remember, WE ARE ONE SOUTH!
