FIELD DAY FUN!

Was hot, was loud, was an absolute blast! Shoutout to our gym teachers for making sure every year is even better than the last - and to the group of parents who brought the water blasters to the back field. 💦☀️🎉

From our biggest to smallest volunteers, THANK YOU!

Whether you used your time off, dragged a little sibling along (sometimes even in a box), drove the extra miles, venmoed for supplies… we see you. Last nights (final) PTA meeting showed us how lucky we are to have such loyal members, teachers, board members, volunteers, and of course, Mr. Thompson, who stays extra hours to help part of our discussions! This year has brought so many ideas, challenges, and most importantly, CHANGES, to how things are getting done.

We are thrilled to continue to work with YOU to make SES the best experience for parents, teachers, and our favorite little students!!!

As we enter the final weeks of chaos, I mean school, just know how thankful we are. You all made it happen this year, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! Now… onto field day, 5th grade day, last day gifts, ice cream social planning..

Last night was AMAZING!

The coolest part? Seeing so many new faces!! We were pumped to see so many families, bikers of all levels, cousins, SO many kids come out and do something fun! The weather couldn’t have been better, the host ( ) the snack bar - we can’t wait to do it again.

If your kids had as much as ours, their membership / cost is affordable & here’s the best part - EASY!!! No true commitment to times, practices, etc. just fun. Dare I say… a throw back to when we were kids?

A few notes:

It is recommended to bring your own bike and helmet - however, if you do not have one, that is OK! (NO BIKE, NO PROBLEM!!) They have loaner bikes and helmets available to rent, but limited quantity!

Here’s the extra piece of fun…For every South Elementary Student that attends - $5 will go towards a bike for the South Store! (Much requested, much desired) 🚲🚲🚲

Registration is required + the CC BMX form will be included, so your kiddo doesn’t have to wait at a counter while you fill out paperwork watching their friends start the course…

SES STORY WALK 📚🧘

It started with an idea presented at a PTA meeting by a parent, and look at it now!

Our students have an opportunity to enjoy mindfulness while having outdoor time at the school. Accessible, inclusive, movement, and reading all combined. We are thankful to be included in bringing these ideas to life!

If you have an idea to better the school, bring joy to the staff & students, or even a fun family event - please SHOW UP! The meetings are full of “YES” moments, and we are here to support!

We are so excited to shake things up & host the local legends from BOOK LOVE at Literacy Night!! They will be putting on a book fair just for SES students, how lucky are we?!
