Plymouth State University Piano Monster Festival

Plymouth State University Piano Monster Festival The Piano Monster Festival takes place annually at the end of June and is open to students currently taking piano lessons and completing grades 5-12.

The Junior Piano Monster Festival is open to students currently taking piano lessons and completing grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. The Senior Piano Monster Festival is open to students currently taking piano lessons and completing grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. The daily activities will be held in the Silver Center for the Arts at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Pianists will:

- Perform in multi-piano ensembles under a conductor;

- Experience the excitement of teamwork;

- Participate in a Percussion Ensemble and sing in the Festival Chorus;

- Participate in a variety of specialty classes pertaining to music such as digital keyboard orchestra, film scoring, piano master classes, musical composition, and music theory;

- Choose activities to participate in such as yoga, voice class, tap dance, world music and art;

- Stay in a PSU residence hall with counselors.

The brochure is there and is modeled after the PSU Monster Festivals. The list of music and all details are in the brochure.

Please read below for information about the Music School’s summer programs – details will be available in late winter! We are planning to offer Summer Jam Camp, Creative Arts Camp, and Music & Movement in summer 2022. Most summer programs assume no prior musical experience, except where noted.
