Hathaway’s Pond was visited by some of our local divers from Dive Tribe Mafia 🤿
Hathaway’s Pond is a popular freshwater scuba diving spot located in Barnstable (Hyannis), MA. It is frequently used by training centers for certifications, ice diving, and casual practice when ocean conditions are poor, featuring easy entry, a max depth of about 60 feet, and underwater training platforms.
The pond is a reclaimed kettle-hole trout pond featuring a 35-foot sunken cabin cruiser (often called the Field & Sea) and submerged wooden training docks.
Looks like it was a fun dive! 🤣👍
Unfortunately one of the divers, Ron, noticed a hole in the neck seal of his dry suit and decided to call off the dive for himself - safety first! Great call Ron👌
We know how hard it is as divers to call off a dive we have been looking forward to, but we always know safety comes first so we can dive another day 💙
📸 Thank you Alyssa from Dive Tribe Mafia for sending us these photos!

If you don’t know one of the local dive shops in New England, East Coast Divers, had a sudden fire happen in their shop this weekend destroying the equipment, classrooms, and countless photos with lifelong memories. The cause of the fire is still unknown last we heard. We are devastated to hear of the news and are helping them during this challenging time. If you would like to donate and support East Coast Divers there is a go fund page donating 100% of proceeds towards their recovery. Thank you!
