Small town fun! Plum City Summerfest is a highlight for many people, young and old. The students, well, maybe some adults too, had a good time at Saturday's parade. It is a great time to reveal the theme for next year’s gala. Plan for an enchanted forest gala on March 6, 2027.

What do employees of Security Financial Bank in Durand do on Juneteenth when the bank is closed? They do community outreach and make visions come true! The plans we discussed for our equipment shed became a reality. In three short hours, they built two lofts, a big and a little ball storage area, storage for hockey sticks and pool noodles, and installed hooks for our volleyball posts. We will post an after picture once we have purged and organized. They exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome.

The last week of school was a whirlwind. The last day was very bittersweet. After a pizza lunch celebrating Mrs. Ormson's retirement, the students helped her with a scavenger hunt throughout the school grounds. They were very helpful with the clues. The students all wrote about a favorite memory they had with Mrs. Ormson, and she then had to guess who wrote each one. As she guessed them, they presented her with a rose and a hug. The day ended with a game of Pictionary featuring words about what Mrs. Ormson will do in her retirement. What a great way to end the school year.

Last night we celebrated our 8th-grade graduates. Mass was a great way to send them off with God's blessings. They will be missed. We wish them the best in high school.

This kindergarten graduate was a one-man show. He led us in the Pledge of allegiance and in a prayer. He did have his friends help him sing a song. He will do great things in 1st grade!

From bubbles in the morning to carnival fun in the afternoon. It was a great day! We even had a friendly bird that insisted he join in the carnival fun. No matter how far we moved him away, he kept coming back for more fun.

Spread the word! It is getting more real, whether we like it or not. Come help us celebrate Tammy's retirement. We know it won't be a total retirement; she can't get rid of us that easily. She will be a great asset as an aide next school year. She will also have time to do some much-deserved travel and relaxation!

A sure sign of spring is our piano rectial/spring concert/education fair all in one. We are so proud of our students and the work they put in enhancing their specials talents. A tribute to Mrs. Ormson was a bittersweet surprise for her. This is not goodbye. She is retiring from full time teaching, but has promised to come back part time to help us with the transition. Watch for more information on a party celebrating her many years of teaching at Molly's On Main, Friday May 29th from 4pm - 7pm.

This goodbye is not easy. Last Friday, we celebrated Father Jojo after Mass with our older students. Today, our "littles" walked to the rectory to give Father Jojo the cards they made and to let him know they will miss him.
