I’m a type 1 diabetic, poly/pan, mom, and lifelong maker and I believe creativity should feel joyful and accessible. When I’m not in my sewing area in the basement with my spiders, you’ll find me at the fabric and sewing machine store where I work — chatting with people about their latest projects, teaching classes, and helping them find the right tools to bring their ideas to life. After years in

high-stress jobs, it feels amazing to spend my days surrounded by creativity and community. Peaches and Seam is my little corner of the world where crafty people and sewists can find gifts, kits, and small treats that spark joy — the kinds of things that make you feel like doing something for yourself and enjoying the moment. Textile Arts Center of Madison will be doing an art installation featuring my friend Carmen Evanco. The exhibit has beautifully painted portraits by Alicia Rheal, of local Black quilters and fiber artists that have been expanded upon into larger quilt and textile art pieces that share the story of each artist, and the community that they've built through storytelling and quilting.
