The maple trees at Boston School Forest are glowing, which means it is almost time for the SPASH FFA Pumpkin Glow event! Join us Friday, October 16th at 6:00pm - 8:00pm for this autumnal evening event!

🚗 Please drive slowly down Lincoln Ave and follow the instructions of the parking attendants.
🔦 Bring a flashlight
⛅️ Dress in warm layers since this is an outdoor event.
🎃 Stay to the end and take home a pumpkin
🌲 Please consider making a donation to the new Ski Shack Classroom at BSF or SPASH FFA.

Take a stroll along the pumpkin-lit trail and use your senses to learn about nocturnal animals and their adaptations. There will be crafts, a campfire, s'mores, and apple c***r. UWSP College of Letters and Science astronomy professor Dr. Zamfir will be setting up telescopes for you to view the night sky.

This is fun for the whole family and is not a drop-off event.

Third graders who visit BSF in the fall enjoy learning about apples and using the apple c***r press to make (and drink) their own c***r! Thank you to the Mr. Carlson, Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Lybeck, Mrs. Schwartz, Mr. Brzezinski, and others for donating apples over the years!

If you'd like to try out the apple c***r press, please come to the Pumpkin Glow Walk on Friday, October 16th between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.

Bring a flashlight & dress for the weather! Boston School Forest events are free; however, this year we are collecting donations for the new Ski Shack Classroom. Feel free to bring a few spare dollars to help us reach our goal.

Boston School Forest is known for fun and educational field trips! Last week, we took a field trip of our own and visited Twin Oaks Environmental Center (D.C. Everest School District's school forest). It was great to tour the forest with environmental educator Melissa and hear about their great programs.
