We are excited to announce that our college advising program, Great Minds Advising, will be partnering with the Northwestern Center for Talent Development (CTD) this coming Summer 2024 to host a first-of-its-kind workshop series on elite college admissions on the Northwestern campus.

In the program, qualified students will learn what the most competitive US colleges seek, as well as how admissions committees review and rank students, so that they can reverse engineer and build the types of profiles that will make them highly compelling––and actually unique––applicants.

Consistent with the standards for our own Great Minds Advising program, students will need to apply via Northwestern CTD in order to gain admission. Official course details and further requirements can be found below:

Juniors, it’s time to start thinking about your college recommendations!

Now is an excellent time to consider which two of your academic teachers will show you in the best light to support your applications.

Additionally, your guidance counselor will be required to write a letter on your behalf and should be requesting information from you and your parents to prepare their recommendation. If you haven’t yet received word on junior questionnaires or parent brag sheets, it’s time to check in with your counselor.
