I would like to share new faces who will be joining us at Pleasantville Elementary for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Mrs. Horsley and Mrs. Culver both join us as Intervention Specialists. Mrs. Stemen joins the 2nd grade team and Mrs. Carter joins the 4th grade team.
I am very excited to be the new principal at Pleasantville Elementary. Our theme for this school year is "Back to the Future", where we will focus to create a better balance with less screen time and more time reading books and writing with pencils. We want to honor the best of yesterday while preparing every child for the future.
We will host our Open House on August 11th from 4:30 PM-8:30 PM. Kindergarten students and families will have a special orientation from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM. We look forward to meeting all the students and families, so we hope that you can join us this evening. Students are welcome to bring their school supplies on this evening as well.

We had a blast making memories, cheering each other on, and celebrating the school year together at the 2026 Field Day! Thank you, Miss Valesko! 💛

As we wrap up the year, a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of school and we will have a 2-hour early release. The 4th Grade Clap-out will begin around 1:15 PM. Thank you to our families, staff, and students for a wonderful year! Much love, Mrs. Tokarz ☀️💛

We love you, Mr. Steve! ☀️

For those of you who don’t know this man, it is Steve June! He helps makes all things happen for PTO and Pleasantville Elementary with ease and a smile!

From dressing up in seasonal costumes, to offering to get pies in the face, dunked on in a water tank, volunteer a LOT of time at the carnival, Mr. Steve always puts kids first! He never says no to a fun experience!

So the PTO treated him to (at his request) a carpet cleaner to help keep the new classroom carpets clean! Additionally, he was gifted today with a Falcon Pride necklace, so all know his is THE man!

What a great week it’s been, Falcons! From May 4th–8th, we packed in so many awesome moments and wrapped it all up today with our Quarter 4 SOAR Assembly and Falcon Friday SOAR Leaders.

We’re looking forward to next week’s Health Fair and all the fun still to come as we head into the final stretch of the school year.

We wrapped up Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week five-star resort style. We started the morning with Brew Hauler coffee and then invited our staff to unwind poolside. Each teacher chose a summer read to take home. It was a perfect ending to the week. We hope our teachers enjoyed their stay, and we can’t wait to welcome them back!

Today our students got their hands a little dirty as they potted flowers for some very special women in their lives. 💐🪴

There’s something sweet about watching little hands carefully scoop soil, pick blooms, and create a gift with so much love behind it. We hope these flowers brighten someone’s weekend as much as making them brightened our day. Thank you, PES PTO!
