We share often about our training classes, but while classes are in session, there is a lot happening on campus that doesn't get as much attention.
Our concrete team has been working on creating picnic tables and benches that will soon be available to sell to the public. Our metal fabrication team are producing steel transport baskets — designed to carry multiple concrete picnic tables in a single boom truck trip — a smart initiative that will cut labor time and transportation costs.

The Metal Fabrication class is progressing well. Students are learning how to bevel to make a groove weld. They have also begun the class project. In groups of 2, the will work together to build a school desk made of steel tube and plywood. They are also being set up for success by learning how to interpret a cut list and prepare materials for the project.
