🎎✨ With a PPIE Educator Grant students turned cultural learning into community impact at the Japanese Fall Festival!
Through student-led food booths, crafts, performances, and traditional games, students celebrated Japanese culture while building leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
The event raised an incredible $4,760 for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and brought the school community together for a memorable day of learning, giving, and connection. ❤️

Foothill’s STEM for Others are bringing STEM to life by teaching younger students through engaging, hands-on experiments. 🔬✨
Thanks to a PPIE Student Grant, the team was able to purchase specialized materials that made more advanced learning possible.
“The PPIE student grant has allowed us to purchase specialized materials for more advanced in-depth experiments in physics, biology, and chemistry. Our students learned about bacteria growth through Petri dishes, energy conversion and circuits through solar powered cars, density through density towers and lava lamps, and much more!” - Ariane Desdier, Foothill student teacher

🎥✨ PPIE grants help bring learning to life!
"The pocket cameras and lights really helped level up our school news program, HPTV. We used the lights to create an inviting interview space where we can feature 6th-grade wheel students on our weekly broadcast. It helps build community and inclusiveness through the messages we share with our school." - Scott Padway, Harvest Park CTE
From giving students hands-on media production experience to creating opportunities for more student voices to be heard, grants like these help strengthen connections across our school communities.

From model rockets and student-created board games to even a pedal-powered couch, the creativity and enthusiasm behind these projects was incredible to see firsthand.
