Meet the Ibex — a mountain goat many people have never heard of, yet one of the most fearless climbers in the world.

The ibex lives in some of the most extreme environments on earth — steep cliffs, rocky mountains, and near-vertical surfaces where even humans struggle to stand. What makes it extraordinary is its ability to climb almost impossible terrain using its specially adapted hooves, incredible balance, and sharp instinct.

It doesn’t wait for safe paths.
It doesn’t complain about the height.
It doesn’t turn back because the journey looks dangerous.

The ibex climbs — because that is its nature.

Every day, it faces heights where one wrong step could mean failure… yet it moves forward with precision, confidence, and focus. Not because it is reckless, but because it has mastered its environment through resilience and consistency.

A Meaningful Moment of Knowledge Sharing

It was a pleasure and honour for me, to personally present my book on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to Mr. Vimalan, Pegawai Tugas-Tugas Khas to YB Tuan Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi (KUSKOP), Malaysia.

This small gesture symbolizes a shared commitment towards empowering individuals through lifelong learning and recognition of experiential knowledge. Recognition of Prior Learning plays an important role in enabling skilled individuals—especially working adults and entrepreneurs—to receive formal recognition for the knowledge and competencies they have acquired through experience.

I sincerely hope that this contribution will support ongoing efforts to strengthen skills development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive education pathways in Malaysia.

May this be another step forward in building a society where knowledge, experience, and skills are valued and recognized.

I had the honour of presenting my book on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to YB Suresh Singh, Penyelaras Parlimen Damansara, during a visit to the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Parlimen Damansara, the service centre of YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, Malaysia (Kementerian Digital Malaysia) and Member of Parliament for Damansara.

The meeting was a meaningful opportunity to share insights on the importance of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as a pathway for working adults and skilled individuals to receive formal recognition for the knowledge and competencies they have acquired through years of experience.

Such initiatives are vital in strengthening Malaysia’s ecosystem for skills recognition, lifelong learning, and workforce empowerment, particularly in supporting entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members who have developed valuable expertise outside conventional academic pathways.

It is hoped that continued collaboration between community leaders, policymakers, and education providers will further advance inclusive education and skills development opportunities for Malaysians.
