Our barn just got a little brighter—and our hearts a whole lot fuller 🤍🐴

Meet 𝓢𝓾𝓶𝓶𝓲𝓽, the newest member of AH-HA Riding School!

Summit joined us through Lazy B Equine Rescue, and we’re so grateful to be part of his next chapter. After a full life in racing and multiple disciplines, he’s ready to shine in a new way.

This 13-year-old Thoroughbred gelding has truly done it all—racing, dressage, jumping, and all the 4-H events. Now he’s stepping into his most meaningful role yet as a lesson horse, and he’s already thriving.

He’s smart, gentle, full of personality, and quickly winning hearts in the arena while helping riders build confidence.

He’s also so friendly that getting a picture of him is basically impossible—he’d much rather be right in your pocket saying hello than stand still for the camera 📸😂

Also… we may have a new tallest horse on the farm 👀 We’re guessing around 16.2 hands!

Some horses just know when it’s time… and I think DJ has been trying to tell us for a while that she needed a girl of her very own. ❤️

Today, that wish came true.

After an incredible career—including competing at the pro rodeos, carrying Kylie through high school rodeo years, and spending the last eight years teaching so many students as one of our beloved lesson horses—DJ officially has her own person.

And we couldn’t be happier that it’s Ansley.

Ansley is one of the sweetest, hardest-working, and most positive young ladies we know. She’s earned this in every way, and I know she’ll love DJ with her whole heart while continuing to learn and grow together.

The best part? DJ isn’t going anywhere! She’ll still be here at AH-HA Riding School, so we’ll all get to watch this partnership grow and cheer them on every step of the way.

Congratulations, Ansley! Thank you for giving this incredible mare exactly what she was asking for—a person to call her own. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. ❤️

After such an incredible first event, we’re excited to bring back Adult Horse Experience Night!

Whether you’ve always loved horses or have never been around them before, this evening is designed to help you slow down, connect, and experience the calming presence of these amazing animals.

💙 What an incredible few days at our AH-HA Riding School Drill Team Camp!

Watching these riders grow in just two days was amazing. They learned an entire routine, challenged themselves, encouraged one another, and finished camp with a performance they should all be incredibly proud of.

Drill team is about so much more than riding. It teaches communication, teamwork, discipline, confidence, and trust between horse and rider. Every smile, every high five, and every successful pass showed just how much these riders accomplished.

A huge thank you to all of our campers and families for making this camp so much fun. Your hard work and positive attitudes made it one to remember!

Another exciting day at the arena, and the leaderboard keeps getting tighter!

🔥 Kate is on a roll! After winning last week’s pole bending, she backed it up with another win, this time aboard Sioux! Congratulations on two consecutive victories! 👏

💥 Mercury continues an incredibly consistent streak with her second Reserve Champion finish in a row, this time riding Berry. Berry is proving he’s one of the hottest horses in the barn right now, placing second again after another outstanding run!

What a fun day at the arena! 🤠

One of my favorite things about our Summer Buckle Series is the random horse draw. It reminds everyone that horsemanship matters just as much as speed—you never know what can happen!

Today’s biggest surprise? Kate and Berry took the win with a blazing 26.317! 🎉 Berry isn’t usually considered one of our most competitive horses in this event, but today he proved that every horse is capable of rising to the occasion with the right rider. Moments like these are exactly why I love this series!
