Congratulations to the Midland FFA Chapter for being awarded a 2024 Arkansas Farm Bureau Outdoor Classroom Garden Grant in the amount of $500. Independence Co. Farm Bureau President Tom Hess presented the check to the FFA Chapter officers and their advisor, Ms. Lensey Ford.

I would like to send a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our latest Independence County AG Student of the month.

Andee Whitener is a Sophomore at Midland High School

Andee's passion for all things AG, and it is so apparent when you talk to her. She is the Reporter for her FFA chapter. Andee says that FFA and AG are so important because without out it our world could not continue. She also said AG is what makes our world go round, everything we eat and do each day has some involvement with agriculture. Andee is currently taking Vet Science for her Ag class at Midland and hopes to one day possibly become an AG teacher.

Everyone please help me congratulate Andee!!!! Way to go girl! I cannot wait to watch you grow I know your future will be bright!!!!
