After an EXHAUSTING day, we have some results to share!

Reagan Beaman and Lauren Weiss were district finalists, medaling in Duo Interpretation. Excellent job!

Again, we could not be more proud of our team.

Today is National Speech and Debate Education Day! We are so proud of our competitors for choosing to be involved in something so valuable. Wish us luck as we leave to compete at Districts today!

Hello! Want a way to make EASY money?

We are required to bring 2 judges to our district tournament on March 1st. This year the tournament is at William Chrisman High School. It is only 1 day of Individual Events. If you have a student competing, this would be the perfect opportunity to travel with us and spend some time with us at districts! We really need some help. Pleasant Hill also received 3rd place in Individual Event Sweepstakes.

We had SO much fun competing at Park Hill, and we even got to meet KCMO mayor Quinton Lucas! PHHS Speech and Debate is off to a strong start this spring. Go Roosters and Chicks!

After a LONG weekend, we scored some hardware!

1st place Dramatic Interpretation - Reagan Beaman
1st place Duo Interpretation - Reagan Beaman and Lauren Weiss
1st place Humorous Interpretation - Zac Rinker
2nd place Informative Speaking - Liam Buckingham
6th Place Original Oratory - Nathan Teitelbaum

We also debated for the FIRST TIME and learned lots, and had so much fun. We cannot wait for our next tournament!
