Congratulations DVC Students, you have successfully completed the Spring 2026 semester! We hope you have some fun plans for the summer to relax and recharge. 😎☀️

For those of you taking summer classes (or who just want to come say hi 😃) both PHC and SRC Libraries will be open! Our hours will be different from Spring semester and will change a couple of times during the summer so read the schedule carefully.

The countdown to summer continues DVC! Keep working hard, rest as much as you can, and drink plenty of water 😃

When your finals are all finished and you’re ready to relax, a few of the DVC Librarians have shared some movie recommendations to start your summer off strong!

See a title you like? Head over to the DVC Library website and type the title into the search bar on the homepage. These movies and more are available for free for students on Kanopy and Swank.

Thank you to everyone that came to the Student Advisory Board’s Abandoned Hobbies Exchange event! It was great seeing the different hobbies that people have tried and watching our DVC community connect over crafts! 🎨🧶

To keep the craft momentum going, the wonderful library workers at SRC Library have a special book display with crafty, artsy books available for check out! Look for the books on our mobile book display or ask a library worker for help finding them.

📣 Attention DVC Students! The Pleasant Hill Campus Library will be open late the last two weeks of the semester! The library hours from May 11 - May 22 2026 will be 8 AM - 9 PM 📣

Need to print something? Want to reserve a study room? Need research help from a librarian? Those services and more will all be available for an extra hour from May 11-May 22! Free snacks and coffee will also be available in the library to help keep you fueled while you work hard on finals! ☕

📣Attention DVC Community! 📣 Did you start a crafty hobby and get bored? Do you have craft supplies collecting dust in your house? The DVC Library Student Advisory Board is hosting an Abandoned Hobbies Exchange in both campus libraries on Monday May 11th from 2-3 PM at BOTH Pleasant Hill and San Ramon Campus Libraries. Bring any unwanted craft supplies to the Abandoned Hobbies Exchange so they can get a second chance at use!

The best part? If you bring something and see supplies for a hobby you like or want to try, you can take them home to try out!

Any supplies leftover will be kept by the Student Advisory Board for use in a future (very exciting) project. We hope to see you there!

DVC Students! Did you know that the San Ramon Campus library has board games, ping pong paddles, and billiards equipment that is FREE for students to check out and use in the library? 🏓🎱🎲

Next time you are looking for something fun to do during your free time on campus, come by and browse the library’s selection of games!

The table games are located in the Learning Commons but ping pong balls/paddles and billiards sticks/balls need to be checked out from the library. The foosball table is fully stocked and ready to be used, no check out necessary.

📣Calling all DVC families! 📣

We want to invite you to a special Gaypril Storytime in the Pleasant Hill Campus Library on April 27th, 2026 at 1PM. 🏳️‍🌈📚

Join us for Pride coloring sheets, rainbow snacks, and three stories read by a student in the DVC Library Technician program. This event is recommended for kids age six and under but all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you and your little ones in the library!

This event is presented by DVC Pride Alliance, in collaboration with DVC Library, CARE, and CalWORKS.
